Education is one of the most powerful tools for overcoming poverty, strengthening communities, improving health, and breaking generational cycles. When built on the foundation of Christ-centered learning, education becomes even more transformative—bringing hope, purpose, and the opportunity for entire communities to be redeemed.
In the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, the need is urgent. An estimated 97% of children experience learning poverty, meaning they are unable to read and understand an age-appropriate text by the age of 10. A child born in the DRC today is expected to reach only 37% of his or her full potential.
We believe this must change.
Every child is created in the image of God, with inherent dignity, value, and purpose. Jesus came so that we “may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10), and we believe every child deserves the opportunity to flourish.
In the Mugunga community outside Goma City, we have established a Christian school that provides quality education rooted in biblical truth. By investing in the lives of boys and girls today, we are equipping future leaders, strengthening families, and helping transform generations to come.
